You might have heard about our ‘Traveller suits” or perhaps our newly introduced selection of “Fresco”. But what exactly is it that makes these fabrics so special when put into creation of a suit, jacket or trouser?

Both our Traveller and Fresco selection is a version of a ‘High twist wool’, which is a high quality wool, woven from strands of yarn that are twisted together, tighter than an average wool fabric. This contributes to the appealing structure and characteristics of the fabric, creating a durable, wrinkle resistance and crisp feeling when worn. This generates a fabric and furthermore garment, that is fantastic to wear on a range of various occasions, from work to weddings and everyday leisure.

We offer a wide range of high twist options that suits a modern, contemporary lifestyle. This does not mean the products and fabrics are any less exclusive, on the contrary – an exclusive fabric, to us, is one that truly serves a purpose and manages to withstand the test of time. As you might have figured out by now, The Essential Collection includes some of our favorite high twist wool products.

Our ‘Traveller’ version is a fabric from the renowned Italian fabric producer Loro Piana while ‘Fresco’ is produced by British weaver Hardy Minnis. Both equally outstanding in terms of quality but with slight difference in the shape an output of the actual garment. In many ways, they resemble the type of tailoring typically produced (and worn) in the respective country of origin. The Fresco fabric has a matte, dry finish and creates a very sharp, clear cut and drape that is perfect for formal occasions. Is also produces a slightly heavier feeling or drape. The Traveller however, has the ability to produce a garment in between formal and casual. For example, many of our customers choose to create an unconstructed, unlined Traveller hopsack jacket – perhaps on the most appreciated garments Blugiallo has to offer.
