Our RTW ‘Metro’ Soft Jacket in Earth Taupe Brushed Flannel is a soft tailored piece designed to feel closer to a cardigan than a conventional blazer. Made from a naturally stretchy wool flannel with a soft, brushed surface, it is cut with a slightly wider shoulder and more ease through the waist for a relaxed, comfortable drape. The natural unconstructed shoulder, softly rolled notch lapels and rounded patch pockets create an understated silhouette that moves easily between workdays and weekends. Tailoring, with its tie loosened.

Designer notes:
‘The Metro was developed for days that move between different settings without requiring a change of jacket. We softened the construction, added more ease through the shoulder and waist and removed the formal chest pocket, creating a piece that feels more like a cardigan while retaining the clarity of tailoring. The warm earth-taupe flannel makes it particularly easy to wear tonally or as a softer contrast to blue denim.’

Fit & Silhouette:
Relaxed tailored silhouette with a slightly wider shoulder and additional room through the waist. The jacket falls naturally through the body without feeling oversized and is designed to layer comfortably over shirting, a T-shirt or fine knitwear.

Fabric:
Italian 280g natural stretch wool flannel. The lightly brushed surface provides softness and tactile depth, while the natural stretch allows the fabric to move comfortably and retain its relaxed drape.

Construction & Drape:
Very lightly constructed with a natural, unpadded shoulder and an unlined body for a softer, cardigan-like feel. The reduced internal structure allows the flannel to create its own fluid drape, finished with a clean, ventless back.
