The ”Explorateur de la ville” is perhaps a modern BLUGIALLO interpretation of the ever so popular Flight Jackets, worn by the likes of Indiana J. and other cult figures. The explorer jacket is the perfect casual fall and winter jacket. Inspired by old flight jackets with their shirt collar, double zip, and big pockets. Although we like to see ourselves as real explorers, this interpretation is modernized and honest towards the urban lifestyle most of us live. But this does not mean that it can't take a beating! The jacket is made in a 100% undyed merino wool fabric called "Pecora Nera" from the Italian mill, Loro Piana. The length is shorter which will enchase the trousers and your proportions in a nice and urban way. Since it's more geared toward the casual side, we like to wear it with a piece of knitwear and a pair of flannel trousers. The beige fabric makes it easy to match with most things in the winter wardrobe, which is something we like in a piece of outerwear. In fact, its a great way to withstand the elements while still looking sharp! Some perfect styles to put together with this explorer jacket would be as seen, : White roll neck, off white heavy cotton trousers and a pair of loafers!
