Introducing Essentials & Perpetuals

The Perpetual Collection tells the story of our passion for tailoring and our belief that understated luxury always comes from making sensible choices. Although playful in our choices of materials, the products are not flashy nor short-term based. An example is our color scheme, which is one close to nature, with earthy tones such as brown, beige and off white. The colors do not vary from season to season, but rather in the choice of fabric.

It creates the comfortable feeling of recognition and creates a humble self-confidence which in many ways is the exact opposite of fast fashion.
This is something we take pride in and the Perpetual Collection is where we truly strive for excellence.

The Essential Collection

Our Essential collection is best described as your ‘go to pieces’ or wardrobe staples. This does not mean the products and fabrics are any less exclusive, on the contrary – an exclusive fabric, to us, is one that truly serves a purpose and manages to withstand the test of time.
All of our Essential collection fabrics are carefully chosen and continuously updated, based on the lifestyle of a contemporary, urban customer. It ranges in product (from denim to suits) and style (casual to formal) from the variety of situations you’ll find yourself in, but with one common purpose – to always look and feel confident with what you wear.
The Essential Collection is often the perfect place to start your journey when becoming a member of the Blugiallo family.

The choice of color and materials

As a part of our seasonal transcending collection concept, we’re following a natural color scheme characterised by calm, understated colors close to nature. This is also represented in the choice of fabrics, with all natural materials such as wool, alpaca, cashmere and heavy cottons for the approaching weather transition.

Flannels

Our new 290g natural stretch flannel represents wearable, sustainable, ‘contemporary tailoring’ in a beautiful way. Although our fabric supplier claims it is partly water repellant, we do not believe it has been tested during Swedish fall. However, the natural softness and lightly rugged surface makes it a perfect piece to wear from september onward through early spring. For the new Perpetual collection, we’ve chosen three brown/beige colors that are equally perfect to ‘break up’ and use as a trouser with casual tailoring or the jacket on it’s own with our raw, selvedge denim. These will complement the greyscale of flannels found in our existing range under ‘Essentials’.

Heavy twill Cotton

Cotton twills are amongst our most appreciated qualities and many of you have come to love the soft, versatile fabric (especially our ‘iced cotton’) and the range of styling possibilities it offers. For the first drop of our new Perpetual collection, we are offering a completely new cotton quality, the heavy twill. Sourced from our friends at Loro Piana, this 460g beauty serves as the perfect armour for the fall approaching.
